History:
Camperdown Parish Church's origins can be traced back to 1565 and the office of beadman (an unemployed labourer) is believed to have come from this time. The first minister of the church, John Reid, was inducted in 1639 and from then on, the membership steadily grew. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.

The church building was constructed in 1790 and the spire was added in 1824. The spire is 130 feet (40m) tall and is clearly visible from the main road. The building has a unique half open belfry, which is a rarity in Scotland.

Camperdown Parish Church’s services include weekly Sunday services, which are conducted in both Gaelic and English. There are midweek Bible Studies, prayer groups, and other events.
