The Masjid Al-Nimrah is an ancient mosque located in the city of Al-Nimrah in the Saudi Arabian province of Jazan. The mosque follows the classic style of Hijazi architecture, with an open area for the congregation, a large mihrab (niche in the wall indicating the direction of Mecca for prayer) and minbar (raised platform used for preaching) and other features such as a minaret and a madrasa for religious learning. The minaret also features a masonic-style clock tower, which was added in the late 1990s. The walls of the mosque are decorated with inscriptions from the Qur’an and verses from Islamic scripture, while its entrance is flanked by two marble columns, each containing a Qur’anic verse. The mosque is believed to have been built some time in the 4th century AH (AH 10th century). This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Visiting Hours:

The visiting hours of Masjid Al-Nimrah in Saudi-Arabia depend on the season. During the summer months from mid-May to mid-September, the mosque is open from 9am to 11:30am, 4pm to 7:30pm, and 9pm to 1am. During the winter months from mid-September to mid-May, the mosque is open from 8am to 11am, 4pm to 7:30pm, and 9pm to 12am midnight. The mosque is closed on Fridays. best mosque in the world.
