History:
The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) was founded in Brazil in 1977 by Bishop Edir Macedo and has since grown to be the largest Pentecostal denomination in the country. The name of the church, originally Christian Congregation of Universal Communion, has been changed to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) since 1998. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Saint Lucia.
