The Church was founded in 1895 in Los Angeles, California.  The Castries Church of the Nazarene was founded on March 19th, 1927 by Reverend Arthur Ashman. The church was first established in the village of Marisule but was moved to the Castries area in the late 1950s due to increasing growth.
