Amethyst Garrand SDA Church is a Seventh-day Adventist Church located in Turlock, California. This church was founded in 1927 by Elder J.C Garrard and was the first African American Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Central California Conference. History:

 Amethyst Garrand SDA Church was founded in 1927 by Elder J.C Garrard, who was an ordained minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He travelled from Baileyville, Mississippi to Turlock, California and began a ministry for the African American members of the Central California Conference. He named the church Amethyst Garrard in honor of his wife, Amethyst. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Saint Lucia.
