The complex is located on the boundary between a modern residential quarter and a hill where the remains of an ancient settlement lie. It was opened to the public in 2009. -The site dates back to the 6th century BC, and is estimated to have possible connections to the Etruscan civilization. -The archaeological complex consists of two main parts: an enclosed area surrounded by a 2.5m-high wall and a contiguous open-air site. -A temple dedicated to Aphrodite, a funeral and residential area, and a place of worship can be found in the enclosed space. -The open-air site includes the remains of a public square, the remains of two small cottages, two dividing walls, and the ruins of a small bridge. History:

The site was likely used in the Early Iron Age, between the 8th and 6th century BC and is believed to have been occupied by the Etruscans. The villa was abandoned and gradually fell into ruins, before being rediscovered in the 19th century by the archaeologist Giacomo Boni. The site underwent multiple periods of excavation in the 19th and 20th centuries and was eventually declared a national heritage site in 1909. The archaeological site is open to the public every day from 9am to 6pm. It is easily accessible by car or bus, and there is a car park located close to the entrance of the archaeological complex.
