History:
The church was built in 1869 to serve the area's large immigrant population of Irish, German and Italian Catholics. It was originally called St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church and was dedicated on October 8, 1870 by Bishop Richard Gilmour. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Rome.

The church was renovated in1938 and was rededicated on May 8, 1938. The renovation included the addition of a new Marian tower, a bell tower and its unique Lithuanian rose window. It also served as the cathedral of the Diocese of Cleveland from 1938 until 1945.

The church offers Mass on Sundays and weekdays. It also offers confession, as well as other devotions, such as the Rosary, Divine Mercy, Miraculous Medal Novenas and Eucharistic adoration. The church also offers a variety of ministries, including youth activities, social justice initiatives and marriage preparation.This beautiful church in Rome has made a lot of significance in the past.
