Chiesa di San Giovanni della Pigna is a Roman Catholic Church located in Rome, Italy. It is located near the Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navona. The church was built in the 8th century and its name comes from the shape of its dome, which is similar to a pine cone. The church has undergone various modifications over the years, including enlarging its bell tower, changing the original façade, and adding a grand door in 1602. It houses a number of important artwork, including six frescos by Ludovico Mazzanti, a painting of the Nativity by Guido Reni, and two late 15th century Renaissance wooden choir stalls. There are also a number of artifacts in the church, including two candelabras from the 17th century, statues of St. Peter and Paul, and a carved marble bas-relief by Donatello. The church is open to the public for Mass and various other services.
