The devotee first offers Ardas - a prayer or supplication requesting the Guru’s blessings - and then performs prakash – a ceremonial lighting of lamps with jiwan akash – holy water. After this, the priests chant hymns and perform kirtan – devotional singing. The devotees also participate by singing and reciting. All Sikh rituals, including the reading of Guru Granth Sahib and the five banis – ceremonial readings – and distribution of karra Parshad – holy prasad or offering - can also be performed in this gurudwara.
