Wat Tha Phut is an ancient Buddhist temple located in the central region of Thailand. Built in 1234 by King Ramkhamhaeng, it is one of the oldest surviving temples in the country and is part of a larger archaeological site encompassing the ruins of both Buddhist and Hindu temples. It is also sometimes known as Wat Phuttha Phut.

The temple is also home to some rare and endangered species of animals, such as the tree squirrel and the Asian porcupine.

Over the centuries the temple has gone through several renovations and restorations, largely due to the efforts of the local monks and abbots. Today it is one of the most important and impressive ancient Buddhist temples in Thailand.

Wat Tha Phut is located in Nakhon Sawan Province in central Thailand, about a two-hour drive from Bangkok. The temple grounds can be accessed from the nearby highway that runs along the Chao Phraya River. Visitors are asked to respect the sanctity and quiet of the temple and to dress modestly.
