Wat Phutthawat Phu Sing is home to a large Buddha statue, believed to have been part of the original temple construction. It is also believed to contain the remains of the master teacher, King Kosathibaworn, of Chiang Rai. The temple complex is surrounded by two-story walls and a moat. Wat Phutthawat Phu Sing
History:
Wat Phutthawat Phu Sing has a long history. It was first built in 1774, and completed in 1776. It was the residence of Chao Phraya Kosathibaworn, and remained in the possession of the royal court until 1897 when it was sold to an unknown buyer. The temple was abandoned for many years until Sigarto and Chiapet Korncherng took over its renovation. Wat Phutthawat Phu Sing

Wat Phutthawat Phu Sing is located in Chiang Rai province, just outside of Chiang Rai town. The temple can be easily accessed via bus or rental car. Visitors should wear modest clothing and refrain from exhibiting any disrespectful behavior while visiting the temple.
