History:
Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu has been an important religious site for centuries. It has connections to the life of the revered monk and meditation master, Luang Pu Mun, and is believed to have been established by him. Its history can be traced back to the 14th century, when it was visited by a Thai prince.

Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu is located in Uthai Thani province in central Thailand, roughly two hours from Bangkok. Tourists visiting the temple can expect stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Nan River. Visitors should also note that the temple is open for limited hours on weekdays, so plan accordingly.
