Wat Bo Takua Phuttharam is a Buddhist temple complex that includes several shrines, pagodas and ordination halls. It is located in Ang Thong province, on the Chao Phraya River, in central Thailand. The temple is believed to have been built in the 15th century and is famous for its large and revered Luang Pho To Buddha image. History:
The temple was believed to have been established during the reign of King Taksin in the 15th century. During the later periods of Ayutthaya Kingdom and Thon Buri Kingdom, the temple served as the residence for many monks. Travel:
The temple can be easily accessed from Bangkok by car and boat. Boats from Bangkok to Ang Thong province depart from the Wang Lang pier in Rattanakosin Island. From there, the temple is a short drive away. Tourists and pilgrims are welcome to visit and receive blessings from Luang Pho To, the main shrine at the temple. There are also several smaller pagodas and ordination halls where visitors can pay their respects.
