Van Phuoc Pagoda is a well-preserved ancient temple located in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City. Established in 1788 by a monk named Ba Vien, it is one of the oldest Pagodas in the city and contains many aspects of traditional Buddhist architecture. History:
Van Phuoc Pagoda was built in 1788 by a monk named Ba Vien, who fled the North and settled in District 4 of Ho Chi Minh City. The pagoda was built in accordance with traditional Vietnamese Buddhist architecture, with many statues of Buddha and altars used by the resident monks. It quickly became a popular destination amongst locals and visitors alike.

Visitors to Van Phuoc Pagoda can experience traditional Buddhist architecture, including statues of Buddha, burning incense and traditional altars. Before entering the grounds visitors should note the pagoda is only open from 8am to 9pm and visitors should take care to dress modestly. The resident monks are welcoming and offer visitors insight into the daily lives of Buddhist monks.
