It is part of the global Christian and Missionary Alliance (CAMA) movement. The mission of CAMA is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to promote scriptural holiness and the transformation of society. CAMA began its mission in the Philippines in 1903 with the planting of the first CAMA church in the city of Legazpi. Since then, CAMA has planted numerous churches across the country and today has a presence throughout the nation. The church follows a traditional Protestant model of worship and emphasizes the importance of evangelism and mission. CAMACOP also shares its mission through humanitarian service initiatives, particularly in areas such as poverty alleviation and disaster preparedness. The organization partners with local Filipino organizations, as well as global organizations, to serve the Filipino people. CAMACOP also operates a Bible college, a seminary, and a publishing house. Additionally, the church is affiliated with numerous allied schools, hospitals, and mission agencies throughout the country. The church has also played a prominent role in Philippine politics.
