Situated above the Sacred Plaza of Machu Picchu, the museum aims to provide a complete and comprehensive history of the Inca civilization for those who visit Machu Picchu. The museum contains various artifacts from the Inca era that Chávez Ballón collected over the years. These artifacts include pottery, ancient tools, jewelry, clothing, and more. These artifacts illustrate the everyday life and social practices of the Inca peoples. The museum also provides audio presentations and interactive touch screens to facilitate learning for visitors.
