Calvary Baptist Church in Panama is an intergenerational, English-speaking, Bible-believing church. The church was founded in 1965 with the help of Nicaraguan and American missionaries. It is an independent, autonomous, Baptist church dedicated to sharing the gospel with those living in Panama City and the surrounding areas. The church was initially part of the Southern Baptist Convention and was actively involved in the Christian mission work being done in the country of Nicaragua at the time. The church has been affiliated with the Southern Baptists of Panama since 2004. It is one of the best churches in Panama which you must visit.

History:

The mission of Calvary Baptist Church in Panama began in 1965 with the help of Nicaraguan and American missionaries, Jim and Winifred McClinton and Dr. Thomas M. Kimbrough. They purchased the original building and started the mission with two Panamanian families and a group of Americans living in Panama City. From the beginning, the mission has been focused on reaching out to those not yet established in a personal relationship with Christ as their savior. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Panama.
