Calvary Tamil Church - Oman is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-lingual Christian congregation located in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. It is the only Tamil church in the country and has served the community since February 1982. The church offers services and other activities in Tamil, English and Malayalam (Indian) languages. Its mission is to labor together as an interdenominational and multicultural Christian community to build a surrendered and vibrant fellowship that impacts Oman, the region and the world. History:

The church was founded in 1982 as an outreach to the Tamil population in Oman. Initially, there were only a handful of members who met in a rented house; however, the early members worked hard to spread the gospel, and the congregation grew exponentially. In 2001, the church was able to purchase a plot of land in central Muscat, and the construction of its present premises was completed in 2005. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Oman.
