Brief History:
: Al Sifa East Mosque is a historic mosque located in Sohar, Oman. It is believed to have been constructed between 1520 and 1560 during the rule of Nasir bin Murshid Al Yabeeni. The mosque had two courtyards and four minarets. The roof was built of packed mud and three aisles separated by two rows of pillars carved with intricate Islamic designs. The mosque is considered by many to be a symbol of the Islamic faith in Oman. It is highly revered by the local community and serves as an important center for religious learning and spirituality. The mosque has a strong cultural identity and a deep historic significance. The walls of the mosque are decorated with Quranic verses and traditional Omani design. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
