Brief History:
is a mosque located in Muscat. It is the oldest mosque in Oman, and was built in the 17th century by the rulers of Oman, Sultan bin Saif Al Ya'ruba and Imam Sultan bin Saif Al Ya'ruba. The mosque is an important religious site for Muslims in the region due to its historical significance. The mosque itself is a three-storey structure, built in a traditional Omani architectural style. The building is surrounded by columns and decorated with ornate Islamic designs. Inside the mosque, visitors will find a prayer hall, a lecture hall, a book library, a women’s area, and a children’s area. There is also a courtyard and a garden. Visitors to the mosque can also take part in traditional Omani activities, such as the Friday sermon and Ramadan prayers. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
