is a religious complex consisting of a mosque, ablution area, and parking lot located in the Al Hail Industrial district of Muscat, Oman. It is located between two new housing developments and is considered a symbol of local progress and development. The mosque was opened in 2011 after three years spent constructing the two-story building with space for up to 800 worshippers. The mosque has a unique design, utilising traditional Omani Islamic architectural features combined with modern elements. The mosque’s main prayer hall is lined with intricate colourful tiling, whilst a typical mihrab (a semi-circular niche which indicates the direction of prayer) is located opposite the prayer hall within the mosque. The ablution area and restroom facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art WCs and have an open courtyard with fountains supplied by solar energy. The mosque also houses Islamic education classes, a medical clinic, and a cafeteria for food and drink. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

Architecture:

The Al Hail Mosque is located in the Al Hail Industrial West area of the Sohar region in Oman. The mosque was designed by the award-winning architectural firm, KeitaKid Architects. The mosque is built in a contemporary Islamic style, using a mix of contemporary and traditional design elements. The mosque has an open courtyard that is surrounded by a colonnade with four arches. The entrance to the courtyard is marked by two large decorative columns that support arches, and leads to a large open prayer hall that is illuminated by a light shaft in the center of the mosque. The walls of the prayer hall are lined with alabaster marble inlays, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The interior has anair-conditioning system and a sound system is built into the columns. The mosque also features a large dome, flanked by four minarets, which rises above the prayer hall. The dome is constructed of steel and a decorative ornamentation, making it a prominent and visually stunning feature of the mosque. The minarets have two balconies, one on each side, that can be accessed by wooden staircases. The mosque also houses a number of amenities, including a library, a kitchen, a washing station, a coffee shop, a car park, and a garden. The mosque is designed to accommodate up to 1200 worshippers at mealtimers. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
