St Svithun's Church, Stavanger is a historic Lutheran church located in Stavanger, Norway. It is one of the oldest Medieval churches in Norway and was built during the 1200s. The church is named after King Olav Haraldson, who was later canonized as St. Olav. In addition to its historic architecture, the church is known for its modern glass and steel spire, which was added in 1987. The church contains various memorials and artwork from the past eight hundred years of its existence, including two alters from the 1500s. St Svithun's Church offers a variety of services including, weekly Sunday masses and weekday meetings.
