Lunner Church In Norway: History,Facts, & Services
Lunner Church is a Gothic Revival-style church located in Lunner, Norway. It was built in 1837 to replace an earlier wooden church, which was destroyed by fire. The current church is a large, three-aisled building made of wood and features a tower with a lead roof. The main entrance, in the western gable, has a rose window above it decorated with stained glass by Arne Kavlie in 1971.

The church was first mentioned in historical records in 1308, when King Haakon V Magnusson granted Lunner a chapel. It is believed that King Haakon was very fond of the area as he decided to keep an estate and build a royal estate in Lunner during the later half of the 13th century.
