St. Joseph kirke is a Roman Catholic church located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Built in 1859, the parish is part of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Its original intent was to provide a space for the growing German Catholic population. It is the oldest Catholic church in Milwaukee and one of the oldest preserved historic structures.

History:
St. Joseph's was built in 1859 on the corner of Wisconsin Ave and 6th Street. The original construction was wooden, built in the style of a German Catholic church from the 1500s. The wooden building burned in 1872 and was rebuilt with brick walls and a larger bell tower, which still stands today. The building was added to the US National Register of Historic Places in 1973. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Norway.

St. Joseph's has one of the oldest pipe organs in Milwaukee, installed in 1863, and it is the only church in Milwaukee to have a bell tower designed in the Gothic style.
