St George's Church, Bergen (Norwegian: St. Georgs kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bergen municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the city centre of Bergen. The church is part of the Strandskogen parish in the Bergen domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. It is one of the best churches in Norway which you must visit.

History:

The church was likely built in the late 12th century at the site of an older church that had burned down. The church was then rebuilt in the Gothic style in 1432 and it still retains much of this architecture today. In 1883, the church was painted by Olav Andréassen Strømme. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Norway.
