History:

The original St. Edmund’s Church was built in 1880 and designed by the Norwegian architect Hans Gude. In 1909, a fire destroyed the building and plans for a new church were made. The new church was designed by French architects Raymond-Huguenin and Constantin Brodzki and was completed in 1927. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Norway.
