Sister Churches, Norway In Norway: History,Facts, & Services

Sister Churches, Norway is a network of 28 churches throughout the country, each of which belongs to one of the main church bodies in Norway: the Lutheran Church, the Roman Catholic Church, the Pentecostal Church, the Baptist Church, the Methodist Church, and the United Evangelical Church. Founded in 1998, the Sister Churches, Norway network, known as "Systersamfunn" in Norwegian, was formed to foster a healthy Christian unity in the nation by linking all of these churches together. The network helps to organize events, seek spiritual guidance and unity within the churches, and provide assistance and support to each other in regards to church matters. Members of the network have gathered together annually to discuss the state of their respective churches and to create fellowship within the network. The network offers members a variety of spiritual programs, resources, and initiatives such as Bible studies, seminars, and lectures. Additionally, the Sister Churches, Norway website provides an online forum for members to share their thoughts and experiences, as well as support one another through prayer. It also has a section with job opportunities and a Prayer Request form.
