Built in the 12th century, it is one of the best preserved and oldest stave churches in Norway. The church is thought to have been built around 1170, and parts of the structure have been standing for over 800 years. History:

The exact date of when the church was built is not known, however it is generally believed to have been constructed around 1170. In the 18th century, a chapel was added and the church was renovated, the main entrance portals were also carved with symbols and rune inscriptions.
