History:

Høydalsmo Church is built on the site of an old Church from 1737. The old church had been damaged by a fire and so a new parish church was needed. After two years of design and discussion, the red brick Gothic-style church was inaugurated in the summer of 1878 by vicar Andreas Skavland. After the Second World War, the church was in a very poor condition, and it was extensively restored and renovated in the 1950s.
