The Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) is a traditional African church founded in Nigeria in 1918 by Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola. CAC follows the pattern of the original Apostolic Church as its doctrinal standards and tends to emphasize prayer, spiritual healing, and the Holy Spirit. History:

The CAC was founded by Joseph Ayo Babalola at Ilesha in 1918 and quickly spread with the help of indigenous evangelists from all across the region. Babalola saw revivals as the key to the growth and development of the CAC. Through prayer and fasting, he established the policy of frequent annual conventions to develop spiritual and educational resources for members. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Nigeria.
