The Apostolic Church (TAC) was founded in 1921 by a group of Pentecostal ministers who had experienced the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit at the aforementioned camp meeting. These Ministers came together with a mission to spread the gospel and to be an example of holiness and purity on earth. The founding ministers included A. J. Tomlinson, Joseph Miller, and J.H. King. During the early years of The Apostolic Church (TAC) there was great unity among its members, and they soon spread their message all over the United States, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and later Africa. The Apostolic Church (TAC) experienced significant growth and eventually split into two divisions - the original Apostolic Church in the US and what is now known as the Apostolic Faith Church. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Nigeria.
