Saint Martin Church in Nicaragua is a Catholic church located in the city of Managua. It was built between 1949 and 1959 in a modernistic style. The main hall, the nave, is reached through an impressive entrance that includes an impressive portico and two towers. On either side of the entrance there are smaller chapels dedicated to Saint Joseph and Our Lady of Fatima. The church is well known for its impressive sculptures of angels located at the entrance, which were made by the famous Nicaraguan sculptor, Servando Hernández. It is one of the best churches in Nicaragua which you must visit.

History:

The construction of the church began in 1949, under the direction of the Bishop at the time, Monsignor Juan Obando y Bravo. The construction was designed and directed by the renowned Nicaraguan architect Francisco Javier Mauricio Thalman. The construction of the church was completed in 1959. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Nicaragua.
