It was built as a dedication to the Virgin Mary, and was named Chapel Maria Auxiladora. In 1926 the chapel was expanded to its current size and design. Facts The chapel stands at about 93ft high, and its roof has the shape of a minor, topped off with a Mexican style lantern. Services The chapel holds regular religious services including Mass every day. Every year, on December 8, the chapel holds a festival in honour of the Virgin Mary. During the festival hundreds of people come to the chapel to celebrate.
