The worship method at Taleju Bhawani Temple is unique and requires a formal request by the head of a community to gain access to the temple. Once the request has been granted, a priest accompanies the worshipper inside the temple to offer their prayers. Generally, a number of rituals are performed including the offering of grains such as rice, nutmeg and cardamom; light offerings such as oil lamps and candles; recitation of Vedic hymns; and circumambulation of the temple.
