The worship method of Shree Sapteshwornath Mandir is based on the doctrines of Hinduism. It is a Vaishnava temple mainly dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his incarnations. The temple follows the traditional practices of Nepal’s Panchayatan puja (five deities worship) which involve worshipping Vahshi deva (Lord Vishnu), Ardhanarishvara (Lord Shiva and Parvati combined), Saurya deva (the Sun god), Ganapati (the Elephant God) and Shakti devi (the Goddess). Other deities including Mahalakshmi, Lord Hanuman, Ganesh, etc, are also worshipped. The puja at the temple is carried out daily in accordance with sacred Vedic rituals as well as traditional forms of worship. Flowers, incense, lamps and various offerings are used in the puja ritual. Both priests and local people take part in the puja and sing devotional hymns to please the various Gods. The temple, however, does not follow any particular set of rules to worship as the Puja mainly consists of bhajans (devotional songs).
