The Gospel Centre is a dedicated Christian charity that emerged out of the mission to reach at-risk and vulnerable individuals within the London Borough of Hackney. It started out of a small house that housed homeless families. The Gospel Centre helps people in crisis, dealing mainly with the homeless, those at risk of homelessness, and those struggling with addictions.

The Gospel Centre was founded in 1985 by the Rev. John Gamble and Rev. Caroline Stainton after they relocated to Hackney from Great Yarmouth, with a vision to help the locally disadvantaged and homeless population. Since then, the Gospel Centre has been actively working to provide services for those in need, as well as to challenge social injustice.
