St. Martin de Porres Church is a Catholic parish located in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. The parish was founded in 1868 by a group of German Catholics and for more than 150 years has been providing its members with spiritual, educational and fellowship opportunities. The parish is named after St. Martin de Porres, who was a Peruvian lay brother of the Dominican Order who lived in the 16th century. He is an inspirational figure and has been declared a saint by the Catholic Church.

The church was established in 1868 as a mission chapel by German Catholics led by Rev. Ignatius Knaup. The mission was designated as a parish in 1896 and the first building dedicated to St. Martin de Porres was built between 1905 and 1906.
