The Lutheran Evangelical Church in Namibia (LECIN) is a Lutheran denomination in Namibia. It was founded in 1966 and is the largest Christian church in the country. It is part of the Lutheran World Federation and maintains good working relationships with other major Protestant churches in Namibia, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia (ELCRN), and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Angola (ELCRAN). It is one of the best churches in Namibia which you must visit.

History:

 The Lutheran Evangelical Church in Namibia (LECIN) was founded in 1966 as the Ovamboland Missional Church organization and was affiliated with the Lutheran Church in South Africa. In 1975, the Lutheran Church in South Africa was dissolved, and the Ovamboland Missional Church was reorganized as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia (LECIN). LECIN's name was further changed to the Lutheran Evangelical Church in Namibia in 1986. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Namibia.
