Followers of Christ Church is a non-denominational Christian church which is located in Portland, Oregon and is known for it's unique and traditional style of conservative Christianity. The church was founded in 1830 by a small group of early followers of Christ and has been in continuous operation since then. History:

The Followers of Christ Church was founded in 1830 in India by Philip Bournes and other early followers of Christ. Bournes was an evangelist and felt that the traditional form of Christianity was becoming too liberalized in the East. He established the Followers of Christ Church in order to combat liberalization and maintain the purity of the Christian faith. In 1861 the Church moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where it quickly gained a foothold in the area. Over the next few decades the church expanded across the United States and was eventually established in Portland, Oregon in 1910.
