History The Evangelical Church of Namibia (ECN) was organized in 1991 as a reference group of churches from several Protestant denominations, including the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia, the Reformed church in Namibia, and the Methodist Church in Namibia. ECN is affiliated with the World Council of Churches and the Christian Council of Namibia. In 2000, ECN formed its own governing board. Facts The Evangelical Church of Namibia (ECN) has more than 80,000 members and over 400 congregations throughout the country. It promotes biblical values, social justice, and unity among Namibian Christians. Services The Evangelical Church of Namibia (ECN) provides religious services, pastoral care, and support for church members throughout Namibia.
