Baptist Union of Namibia In Namibia: History,Facts, & Services

The Baptist Union of Namibia is an association of Baptist churches in Namibia. It was founded in 1994 to serve as a spiritual and organizational arm of Baptists in the country. The Union serves as network and fellowship platform for the churches that are its members. The Union is led by a Board of Directors elected at its biennial conventions, which also confer authority on the executive director to deal with administrative matters. It provides oversight and guidance to the member churches, facilitates their evangelization projects and helps coordinate their charitable and development work. Apart from its spiritual work, the Union also lobbies and advocates for the advancement of human rights, the promotion of education, and other general community development initiatives.
