is a Theravada Buddhist monastery founded in 1995 by Sayadaw U Pandita, abbot of the Panditarama Meditation Centre in Yangon. Its main retreat site in the Taung Yoe Mountains is located near Mawlamyine (Moulmein) in Mon State. Pa-Auk sponsors many meditation retreats that last up to three months. Its unique approach to meditation is based on the 14th century Satipatthana Sutta Mahāsatipaṭṭhāna Sutta (The Discourse on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness).
