The traditional worship at Valliyoorkkavu consists of rituals (poojas) performed by the local priest (Jaathi) on behalf of the devotees. The main worship is the Ashtabhishekam (eight fold worship) which includes Ganapathy homam, Ashta Devi pooja, Chandika homam, Rathasapthami, Navarathri poojas, Pradosham, Sankaranarayan pooja and Shivarathri pooja.
