Worship Method:

Shri Digambar Jain Siddha Kshetra Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh offers a variety of rituals and ceremonies as part of their worship tradition. The primary worship practices they follow are puja, stuti, jal (water offering), niranjan (consecration of idols) and pradakshina (circumambulation of the temple). Puja begins with kalash abhishekam (pouring of holy water on the idol) and chanting of mantras for purification. During puja, offerings such as food, flowers and incense are made to the idols of Lord Shri Adinath and other Tirthankars. After puja, devotees perform stuti which includes reading of scriptures and hymns in praise of the Tirthankar. They then offer jal, which is water mixed with ghee and flowers, in the middle of the temple. This is followed by niranjan, where a lamp is lit and offerings are made to the idols. Finally, devotees perform pradakshina around the temple. They repeat the names of the Tirthankar while doing this. This is done 7 or 21 times, depending on the occasion.
