The worship of Pulimukham Devi Temple, located in Thrissur District, Kerala, is believed to take place in accordance with the Vedic Pancharatra Agama, which prescribes a five-faced puja ritual for Devi worship. The five-faced puja ritual includes offering homage or stuti before the Devi in the form of flowers, turmeric, kumkum, holy water, and lamps; performing abhishekam of the Devi with various offerings such as kashaya, milk, curd, honey, and ghee; circumambulating the Devi with lamps; and performing archana and arati. To identify the Grahashanti mantra, the five Swaras and the relevant syllables of the Pancharaatra are to be correctly recited while performing the archana.
