Mangal Mahadev Birla Kanan in Delhi follows the same ritualistic worship of Lord Shiva as practiced in any other temple across India. Some of the rituals are as follows: -The puja starts with the offering of ‘panchamrit’ to Lord Shiva (mixture of water, honey, curd, gangaputras and milk). -After offering the ‘panchamrit’, Lord Shiva’s abhishek (bathing ritual) is performed. It includes offering of water, milk, ghee, honey and other such liquid substances. -The temple has two deep sikharas (top portion of shrine). The first one is looked after by Lord Shiva and the other one is looked after by Parvati.
