The worship of Goddess Kali in a temple in Delhi follows the traditional Hindu rituals for offering puja to the divine mother. The process involves a puja samagri (ritual items) such as flowers, incense, camphor, lamp, coconut and raw milk which is first offered to the goddess. After offering the items, aarti is performed and hymns dedicated to the Goddess are sung. Prasad is then offered to the devotees. The temple priest then performs the ritual of Abhishekam of the deity with milk and Gangajal and then offer flowers and sandalwood paste. After the Abhishekam, the temple priest then chants mantras and performs the aarti. Offerings of fruit, sweets, beeswax etc. are also part of the puja ritual.
