History:

The Gangotri Temple in the town of Gangotri in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, India is an ancient temple and one of the four pilgrimage destinations of the Chardham yatra. Worship Method:

The main worship method of Gangotri Temple is through the practice of Aarti, an ancient Hindu ritual involving the lighting of lamps and offering of prayers to the gods. The aarti is performed five times a day starting with the morning aarti at 7 am, the third aarti at noon and the last aarti at 8 pm.
