Worship Method:

The main worship method of Bade Hanuman Ji Mandir, Prayagraj (Allahabad), in Uttar Pradesh is through the traditional system of pooja. The daily pooja rituals start at 4 AM and last till 8 PM each day. The morning pooja starts with the traditional Mangla (early morning) Aarti, which is also known as the ‘Manjiri Uma Aarti’. Then, a special Shiv Aarti is performed at 4:30 AM, followed by the Dandvi Aarti (the 5:30 AM pooja). The noon pooja, or Madhya Aarti, starts at 12 PM, followed by the other five Aartis at 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM. Apart from the daily pooja, the temple has special pooja's that are performed as part of festivals and other special occasions.
