Igreja Católica Paróquia de Guiúa is an active Catholic parish located in the Guiú, Mozambique. It is part of the Diocese of Lichinga in the Catholic Church in Mozambique and is one of the largest parishes in the region. The parish dates back to the 1530s when Guiú was a part of the Portuguese Empire. The first recorded priest in the area was Father António João de Fish e do Prado in 1530, though there had likely been priests in the area from an even earlier date. Today, the parish includes five churches plus a local Benedictine Monastery overseen by the Benedictines of Emaus. It also serves as the base for the many social and charitable programmes that the Church runs in the Mozambique region, including healthcare, education and pastoral care. In addition, Igreja Católica Paróquia de Guiúa provides spiritual guidance and support for the people of the region, and it is one of the most active and vibrant parish in Mozambique.
